Trainings

The Brain Talk Curriculum is designed to be used and taught by a wide range of professionals, as well as parents and other caregivers. While the key concepts of the Brain Talk Curriculum can be taught without any additional support beyond the provided curricular materials, some instructors may wish to build a deeper understanding of the neurological foundations of Brain Talk, strategies for teaching Brain Talk, and further directions for expanding the curriculum.

Hanna Bogen Novak and Carrie Lindemuth, the creators of the Brain Talk Curriculum, offer individual, small group, and staff-wide trainings. These trainings provide a deeper understanding of the neurological foundations of metacognition, lesson modeling, hands-on practice, and activities to enrich and expand upon the Brain Talk curriculum. All trainings can be individualized by length and focus to the specific needs of your audience.

Hanna and Carrie provide both in-person and virtual Brain Talk trainings and consultations to schools, professionals and families. Hanna is available to provide in-person trainings in the Los Angeles/Southern California area and Carrie is available to provide in-person trainings in the San Francisco Bay Area. Brain Talk users who live outside of our in-person travel parameters or who prefer a virtual learning model may set up one-to-one or group virtual trainings/consultations either over the phone or through a virtual platform such as Zoom or Skype.

Wow! I love this program! The vocabulary "doer" is such an important word in our class; I have used it so many times since the introduction to remind my students that they need to be in charge of their actions and think before doing.

I started using Brain Talk with my fifth graders; not only do they love it, but I love teaching it! As we met for our most recent lesson I heard students saying, "Boy did I have a Myg Moment this weekend!" The students are so excited and engaged!
